Friday, September 12, 2008Tim Daly and Damian McConn with Summit Brewing Company will provide an insightful glance into the historic craft beer industry of the Upper Midwest. Summit Brewing has won many awards including City Page 2008 “Best Take Home Beer”.
Participants will learn about Summit’s seasonal and year-round beers from a top brewmaster, and get tips on how to expertly pair beer with their favorite meals. Attendees of legal drinking age will receive Summit beer varieties to take home with them.
Noon-1:00pm, WESTconsin Credit Union, East Branch conference room, 3333 Schneider Avenue, Menomonie (across Hwy 29 from the hospital) $10, Registration by September 9th is required. Includes lunch from Menomonie Market. Vegetarian options available.

Eat Local America Challenge
August 15-September 15, 2008Menomonie Market is hosting an “Eat Local America” challenge this summer, inviting area individuals to consume food grown or produced locally as much as possible.
Our challenge will begin August 15th and continue through September 15th. It’s honor-system based; those wishing to participate can simply sign the sheet at the co-op and try their best.
